 A Hindi remake of the 2016 BBC series, The Night Manager focuses on Shaan Sengupta (Aditya Roy Kapur), a former navy lieutenant turned night manager at a luxury hotel. When arms dealer Shelly Rungta (Anil Kapoor) arrives, RAW officer Lipika Rao recruits Shaan to infiltrate and dismantle his syndicate. In the first season's conclusion, Shaan takes up the CEO role offered by Shelly, whose right-hand man's arrest in Riyadh was a setup. The 2016 original starred Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston, adapted from John le Carré's 1993 novel of the same name.
